Yes the cold snap is here, for a week its supposed to warm up on Sunday, so lets just hope it is going to be Sunday to Sunday... froze my touche off at work today then got to come home, into jammies, and a hoodie, poured a coffee and into my sun spot, till the sun set, with the gas fireplace burning it was wonderful... hubby braved the elements and went down and got Chinese food, so I just came from under the blanket to get a plate of food and back under again geez, and our house is toasty.. feel bad for people who don't have warm places.. but tomorrow is going to be different, I am going after work to get my hair done.. so won't be able to run right home oh well I will have a new do for my warm jammies after... but even with the cold it is so beautiful to see the sunshine and blue skies... It is well into January so not bad not bad... just a few more months of winter :) and good news is we don't have to shovel the cold.. other than this all is well....

so its another year ahead of us all, 2012.. hopefully bring us all health and happiness.. 6 more months of work and 2 off yay, I have that to look forward to..The family is doing fine, I talked to my momma last night she is doing well, her and her other lady friend are off to Hawaii for almost 3 weeks next month.. My mom is doing not to bad but I think she finds the evenings most lonely since she has been on her own.. I had the best two weeks off for Xmas break, was great no plans, just r and r.. had great meals at the two houses we went to, had a great stay christmas eve and gift opening yes have to say I enjoyed it all..our granddaughter bought me the nicest colour wool to make me a blanket to wrap up in.. it matches our walls and furniture.. T had great taste.. but then she is the one too who picks out the wool colours for her mom to make all the beautiful baby sweaters that she does...we are experiencing unusual warm temps for this time of year, and every day its like this it makes for a shorter winter in my eyes.. yay.. maybe we will have dryer riding conditions this spring/summer can only hope... but for now friends, tomorrow is Friday and then then the weekend have a great one everyone..

Well that was Xmas 2011, it was a good one, family and fun... So exciting too as our nephew and our cousin drove all the way up from Vancouver to spend Xmas with us, such a treat... hope he doesn't get snowed in now tho as we are experiencing white out conditions tonight, yikes oh well he has a few days to get back to work then he is off to Mexico for a month.. it was such a nice time spending Xmas with family and just each others company... New Years Hubby and I just stay home, never have enjoyed going out.. so home it is.. hope eveyone else enjoyed their xmas as well..

39 years ago today hubby and I tied the knot..at 5:00 actually in Kamloops, then the next day we drove (just hubby) as I didn't have my license at the time, all the way down to Daytona Beach Florida, where my inlaws lived... spent Xmas with them.. oh how we miss them both, they have since both passed away..It is snowing snowing and more snowing here in the north.. then they are calling for freezing rain yikes, not going to be much fun for getting around...so what are our plans for tonight, hmm maybe if hubby isn't working we will go out for dinner or I shall just sit and enjoy the first night of my holidays as you see today is the last day of work till Jan 3 I wish you could hear the excitement in this writing.. sooooo looking forward to it... the time off I mean... its time for me to make lists and check them twice.. as we are down to 9 days till the big guy comes...have a great day..

OK only 4 more get ups and I'm out for the holidays, and just peeking at your menu blogs and I am realizing that I best get my butt in gear, I have done no baking am not quite done my shopping. I did get my Xmas Cards done yesterday just have to mail them... Oh just heard the weather and KTown is going to get quite a bit of snow over the next 48 so I guess I best get some groceries in plan a baking list and then fly at it... had a good weekend, helped our Karate Club (which my daughter belongs to) drive for a dance and safely got a lot of people home afterwards, going to maybe do it again Saturday night.. we had great spring like temps over the weekend so the driving was good.. Ok I will be back later have to go and get ready for work.. have a good week !!

Beer check, snacks check, knitting check, so now its just sit back and relax and enjoy the game with my man... COME ON B.C. Maybe even just shut the blinds to the world, cause who really cares what its doing outside anymore.. but I must just quickly say what a nice treat it was to get up this a.m. and no new snow and the torrential rain has stopped.. oh how I love shut in weekends.. but only one more then back at er tomorrow.. but should be a fun a.m. the girls and I are going to make cookies and Orange Julius's for one of the blocks.. they will enjoy that.. I have run off a few Xmas pages but will see if I can hold on to those till Dec 1. Knowing me I won't be able to .. in the Xmas shopping Dept need to get going on that as I'm so far behind I think I am first.. oh well isn't that what Xmas is all about stress..lol, not if I can help it.. anyhooo folks thats all from me, so I have a question to ask of you anybody Kim, Sandra, can you just take time out of your busy day and say Hi on here just so I know that you ladies can read this OK.. g'morning, well we are now in a winter wonderland, and I think it is here to stay.. OK OK sure it looks pretty, but still I would rather just drive on bare roads thanks not snowy slippery roads... but oh well, what can you do Mother Nature is much stronger than me... I can not believe how fast this week flew by wow tomorrow is Friday already.. hubbys bday on Sat and we vote in our town.. so I guess its down to the local drug store to pick up a gift card for my man, hmm a dinner card or good ol Canadian Tire card, hehe.. work is going well the family is well except for the cold hubby says I gave to him.. Xmas is fast approaching and I'm not to happy about that but I have picked up a few things.. anyways, besides not knowing what to cook for dinner tonight, everything else is doing well.. hope all you people that I blog with oh maybe you don't know I do heehee but I hope you are able to see my lil boring blog... tc

A somewhat productive Sunday...

So here I am been out to get groceries, put them away have dinner planned, Turkey tettrazini, sounds good, hope it is as good as it sounds... I cleaned out and untangled my necklaces.. was going to do the bedroom as well but its to close to dinner so am taking a time out.. but I plan to do a major overhaul on my bedroom and clothes that I don't wear anymore.. I hope to remember to take before and after pictures for Laura.. I am going back to work, today is the first day I haven't felt dizzy.. I go back to the Dr tomorrow after work..I've missed the young gals I work with so hope they are happy to see me tomorrow.. my blanket is coming along just fine, since the last time into see Knit Master T.. she is really getting tired of seeing me.. oh geez and I bought some more wool yesterday to make another one.. yes T thats what I said another lap blanket lol... I am enjoying a great cup of Davids Tea, its a pretty pink with the beetroot thats in it.. such a yummy one, I don't add milk to this one just a bit of honey that I bought from a friend, it is the best honey.. but anyways thats about all for now I shall read your posts and skeedaddle to make dinner, then its Amazing Race and a couple of other shows and BED.. have a great week everyone... :) This is a pic of us riding up the Nass Highway, at a pullout at Kalum Lake.. but the bike is put away all nice and cosy for the winter...:(

that I'm blogging, and reading up on blogs, once I'm back to work the reading and blogging won't happen as often.. but for now its something to do.. the weather in our neck of the woods is overcast and I believe a tad chilly.. I'm starting my pink scarf over again pulled it out last night as it was to wide, and I like skinny scarves.. so after talking with Knit Master T, I now know what width to make it but best get going on it before winter is over...hubby is home not sure what his plans are and not sure either what to have or make for dinner... I don't get sick often, so wow finding this different to HAVE to stay home.. as to want to stay home.. but until my vertigo is cooperating it is home I will stay.. oops and another thing I want to do either today or tomorrow is put all my summer duds away and clean out my closet.. but that will be slow going for sure.. so for now, I remain Dizzy Lizzy, and taking er easy.. tc.. a pic of my dog Chloe in front of a pretty fall coloured bush..

So here it is Sunday night, I went to the Emerg. Clinic yesterday, as I thought I had an ear infection.. and yes I do, as well as major wax build up which my Dr can't do anything about till the infection is gone.. so its antibiotics and drops for a week then into see him again to have the ear flushing done.. I am taking the next few days off work as I'm just not 100 percent, with the sore ears, I'm dizzy as well.. so hope to get lots of rest over the next few days.. I never get earaches, so this is very unusual for me and the fact that both ears are aching, :( The family gathered tonight at Tashas place for Toreys 14th birthday which is tomorrow, sheesh.. oh and last night we gathered at Tanya's for Justins 13th birthday the eldest Derek has to wait till Feb to turn 15... my babies all grown up.. sigh!! Is anyone else tired already of the Xmas commercials that are popping up on the TV... geez, Halloween is barely over and now Xmas?? Oh well g'nite and talk to you all soon.. Torey on the top and on the left Derek and Justin on the right at Dragon Boating...we are so proud of our grandkids...love them so much....

G'morning, here is is Friday my fave day cause tomorrow starts yet another weekend.. this weekend in our lil town is a Craft Fair held in one of our biggest Rec Centers, there is crafts, of all kinds from people from all over the north.. and the food is divine, our youngest daughter goes in and sells her beautiful baby sweaters and little slippers she has made by herself of course.. the other daughter used to sell magnetic bracelets but has since sold off her stock.. its a good time.. and a great place to pick up Xmas gifts.. Two nights ago, I cut up the pumpkin and cooked it all, gave half to Tasha and half went in our feezer for cooking down the road.. Torey and I made Pumpkin seeds with the recipie given to her by a friend omgosh were they ever good..we've had a bit of snow on Nov 2 but it is gone but the temps are chilly so the white stuff is on its way for sure.. Why Hello there, finally, I'm on here, I had my friend Kim over to help me get this set up, little did I realize it didn't need setting up it was all here but just in a different format.. so hopefully everyone can read it now.. Thanks again so much Kim, enjoyed our tea time together... and hope to get all the other addresses on this weekend.. I don't really like this format but for now will just be happy to post a blog and to read up on all your goings on... Sandra, I can follow you on F/B but its just nice to read you on your blog.. Laura the same.. and the other ladies I follow.. its great reading.. we had our first snow this a.m. but by midmorning it was gone, but snow is very low on the mt.. was a tad chilly this a.m. My house tonight is smelling nicely of cooked pumpkin, and this afternoon after work Torey and I made Pumpkin seeds with recipie her friend gave her.. mmm different but delish.. to bad I don't have very many... My family is doing well, youngest grandsons birthday today Happy 13th.. and on Monday its our only granddaughters Happy 14th, and our oldest will have to wait till Feb for his 15th.. Oh where has the time gone.. not sure this is the place for this but am feeling a bit under the weather, sore back not sure why, and had to take a couple of Advil Cold and Sinus as have been sniffily all day and a sore eyeball, oh I hope its not a sinus cold.. I'm pretty tough, and will take a lot to get me down.. sleep the best medicine.. we have a 4 legged houseguest for three days as Tash busy with work and getting ready for the Craft Fair, so rather than Miss Bianca be by herself I brought her up here so her and our Chloe can keep each other company.. Torey last words as I walked out her door Your Not Keeping Her.. lol.. but anyways thats it for tonight.. been nice chatting.. and will tty all soon...
